Sun Tarot Card Love Meanings

The meaning of the Sun tarot card in a love reading.

Is The Sun A Good Card To Get In A Question About Your Love Life?

Just looking at the Sun picture in any tarot deck and you will get the impression of pure happiness and bliss. It is safe to say that the Sun means a happy love life as well. For many tarot readers, it can be a challenge to read with cards that are so obvious in their interpretation. What else is there really to say about the Sun other than a big YES to happiness and success. If I have learnt one thing as a tarot reader it is that the seeker often wants more information. They want details. So let’s dissect the Sun tarot card in a love reading.

The Sun describes something that will come into your life to bring you joy. It speaks of new love or being in love for the very first time. The Sun can also describe falling in love the way you did the first time. There is something very pure about the Sun. It is untainted and uncorrupted. When the Sun describes the state of your love life you are absolutely sure about how much you love the other person.

Learn the traditional meaning of the Sun tarot card here.

The Sun speak of love at first sight. You recognise something within the other person that stir up strong emotions within yourself. When the Sun is in your cards you might be feeling like a child. Everything seems new and exciting. This attitude brings love into your life. Your openness allows others to be open with you. The Sun has similar energy in a love reading as Temperance and the Lovers tarot cards. If you are single and looking for love then the Sun assures that someone will love and appreciate you like you have never experienced. You might be surprised by the sincerity of this person, and most likely you will forget to bring your protective barriers up. Before you know it you are head over heals in love! The Sun speaks of being seen and appreciated by someone who is unafraid of showing their love.  Unfortunately, some people will feel threatened by such pureness and will want to hide away from it. The Sun asks you to be open to receive.

If you are already in a relationship and the Sun shows up it is a sign that you are with the right person. If you have been wanting a child the Sun is a big Yes to falling pregnant. The Sun also denotes a happy holiday and celebration. Something will come into your lives and give you joy. There is also abundance and security in your relationship. You might rediscover your partner and fall in love all over again.

There is victory seen in the Sun tarot card. There are no hidden agendas or murky undercurrents causing confusion. The justice seen in the Sun is that love will always win and the truth will always shine. When you live in truth and love you are in the Flow. The Flow brings prosperity and happiness. This is what the Sun tarot card is all about.

Sun tarot card love meaning summary

The Sun speak of new love, love at first sight or falling in love for the first time or just like the first time. This card speaks of joy and happiness in love and relationships. If you are single the Sun denotes a love interest who will adore you and show you love from a pure heart. It is up to the seeker if he/she feels worthy to receive. In established relationship the Sun signifies something bringing the couple joy; it can be a child, a shared interest, a holiday, a celebration etc. Something out of the ordinary will bring the couple closer together, and they might even fall in love all over again. The Sun has similar energy to Temperance and the Lovers cards when it comes to describing love and relationships.

    Dear Inger,

I’ve just met someone(a week ago), and everything is promising, and great so far.
I asked my cards about the development of our relationship, and I got The Sun. 🙂
I asked an advice, what’s the best I can do for the relationship, and i got the page of wands reversed, and the six of pentacles reversed.
What do you think about it, what does this mean?

    Thanks!

    Betty

Hi, Betty. Congratulation on your new relationship. The Sun, as you know, is a great card to get! The reversed cards you got in the advice position simply speak of ‘less is more’, and allowing this relationship to grow without pushing it forward unnaturally. Allow it to flow the way it is meant to, and trust in the process. Page of wands reversed can mean to avoid drama at all cost in the beginning phase of your relationship.
I wish you all the best,
    Inger

Hi Inger, I received the following cards when I asked what this persons true romantic feeling were in the CC:
Ace pent, hanged man, 5 pent, 7 swords, page swords, 7 pent, 9 swords, ace cups, knight cups & sun as outcome. The reason for asking for clarification is this person often acts like he’s not interested but the minute I pull away he appears again? I use to get the High priestess so I assumed this was all in my head? What do you make of the above cards. I take that he actually does have strong feeling for me but feels unloveable?

Hi, When you see a lot of swords mixed in with pentacles it can mean that the person is not very grounded. I also feel like he is a bit cynical about love, and he likes to play it safe, thus appearing when you pull away. I feel like when he has trusts issues, however, the Sun suggests to me you will be able to overcome this…:)

Wow!! Thank you. I guess that explains the usual HPriestess that is the usual outcome or recently the Wheel of fortune. Thanks again for responding and may I say you run an awesome and informative website! It’s my number one go to for clarification on my readings! Thanks again?

    Hi Inger,

I just meet my ideal guy on a trip to sunny beach. Our relationship not starts yet but we maintain the same friend group which often meet. I ask the card and result as below:
    1. Him: the sun
    2. Meeting place: the sun
    3. Future: the sun
Is it a good sign that there will be happy ending for us? And can you help to explain the meeting place?
    Thanks a lot.

Hi, The sun denotes happiness, and also a very social and fun life together.

Oh my can you help me? A high school friend of mine and I spent a night hanging out and talking of old times. He is somewhat of a ladies man and I never “went there” with him. We were having drinks and We both were pretty intoxicated. He told me he was lonely and loved me, wanted to have sex, make out…. all the things a guy wanting just to get laid would say… the only thing is with this, is that we never had any type of sexual feelings when we were younger. I did a 3 card spread, and then pulled an extra card because I still was confused of what was before me. I am trying to see if there really are hidden feelings going on!?! 10 of wands ex, death, 5 of wands rx- then I asked for a clearer outcome and got the sun! Is death meaning our relationship is over or is changing? What do you think of this?

Hi, Holly. Many things can happen in the heat of the moment. The sun denotes to be logical and let time sort things out.

I got Moon, Justice, Sun, I’m in a complicated relationship, can you tell me more?

  13. Inger Bråthen January 16, 2017 at 4:57 pm

Hi, it looks complicated at the moment, but the Sun suggests you will make a very good decision in regards to your future, and you will have a happy outcome. You have to ask yourself; is this person committing fully to you and no other, because that is what a real relationship is about. I feel like you will raise your standards and realise how much you are worth and how happy you can be once you start valuing yourself.

  14. Susan January 16, 2017 at 11:45 pm

Thank you, is it possible for you to tell me if you think we will stay together?

  15. Inger Bråthen January 17, 2017 at 4:37 pm

Hi, my feeling is that you will be transitioning into a new and healthy relationship with somebody else.

Hi, I did a secret crush reading asking the cards if this guy would think i’m interesting as well, in order to get a idea if I should even proceed to trying online communication with him.

The cards that flew out were..

7 of wands, the hierophant, 2 of wands, 6 of cups, the sun

I wanted your take on what these cards would mean for this situation, thank you

  17. Inger Bråthen March 17, 2017 at 1:46 am

I think the cards say yes 🙂

  18. Tiggy April 18, 2017 at 3:20 pm

My boyfriend and I are on a break. I’m not sure if we are broken up or Not, but I asked if we’d get back together and the Sun Card appeared..

  19. Inger Bråthen April 20, 2017 at 1:19 am

If Sun is the final card in your reading, it means it is very likely you will get back together with your ex.

Hi betty I feel like I have fallen in love with a guy I met a week ago but he has suddenly pulled away and said he’s not ready if told him how I feel and I’m now confused it’s only him I want but he has gone.

  21. Inger Bråthen May 8, 2017 at 10:49 am

Hi, the sun can mean he will be in touch again…or you will soon be able to let this person go… and move on….:)

  22. Anna May 13, 2017 at 7:23 am

    Hi,
I did a 3 card spread, asking if I will have a romantic relationship with my love interest:
I got the cards Knight of swords, the Hierophant and the Sun as the final card. A part of me sees this as positive, but, as its so hard to read for myself… what do you think ?
    Thanks in advance

  23. Inger Bråthen May 14, 2017 at 12:55 pm
