Symbolism in Eight of Wands tarot card

Eight of wands is one of the few minor arcana cards that doesn’t have people in (in Rider-Waite tarot). This to me symbolises the ‘losing yourself’ in the moment. The wands in the air indicate that whatever you are doing is completely absorbing your attention. The flight of the wands symbolises change and travel. The river symbolises flow and fertility. The green and hilly landscape symbolise growth and opportunities.

Practise reading the tarot cards together and see whether or not the combinations are positive. When it comes to love and romance I recommend you lay out the cups tarot cards in the grand tableau. Ask specifically about your friend and lay out the cards as described on this site: http://www.tarotwikipedia.com/the-suit-of-cups-in-the-grand-tableau/

Let me know if you need help interpreting your layout.

A friend did a reading for my long distance “relationship” with a guy who doesnt talk to me anymore over a truly silly minor dispute and the first two cards in the four card cross were Ace of Cups and Two of Pentacles (left and right) and Chariot and 6 of Cups (down and up).. and then the last two separate cards that he seems to call luck and future were 8 of Wands and 10 of Wands..
He says I should focus more on my life and work and stop thinking so much about the break up but he also thinks it’s true love and it might come back.. what would 8 of wands and 10 of wands mean in that context?

my previous reading was pretty accurate and had Ace of Wands and 10 of pentacles in those same positions after a generally more negative reading which accurately reflected how much I suffered after the break up and thinking he’s with someone else (Moon came up as first card so probably illusion).. I’d be forever grateful if you could explain me more since it’s hard for me to understand a reading in another language.. Thank you <3

I forgot to mention 2 of Pentacles (the second card) was Cancelled Effect (translation from my friend’s language, meaning the problem I guess) In my previous reading I had Temperance Cancelled/Reversed at that position but since I tried to calm my suspicions (he had brought some girl he had insisted there was nothing going on with, to a job event in his current country) and be more balanced, the new reading was much better..

Thank you very much really! <3 I've not heard from him for 3-4 months and he read the 4-5 messages I sent him during this time but didnt reply.. you gave me some hopes.. What do you think the Two of Pentacles as a cancelled card/ problem might mean?

  11. Inger Bråthen December 3, 2016 at 5:47 am

Two of pentacles can mean miscommunication when it is placed as a ‘problem’, and it can happen if there is some kind of language barrier. I feel if he had trusted in his intuition, this misunderstanding wouldn’t have happened…

I hope you can help me understand this card to my question. I had recently had a bit of a fall out with a friend in which I got the devil meaning he was angry with me. So a week later I sent him a text message offering an olive branch. I asked the tarot how he felt about this message I sent him and got the Eight of wands.
I don’t want to assume he is falling for me or anything but does it mean he’s happy that that I have tried to fix things with him first? And will he move forward towards me as friends again?
